Remember when All Star Weekend used to be special? Well it’s still special to me damn it. Why? Because it’s one of the easiest days to make money. Whether cappers don’t know the rules to some of these events or degenerate gamblers placing money on the most popular name (because they don’t watch the games), who knows but I love it. It’s one of the only events where you can mix the most random people in an event. Last year I remember I took a girl out on a date with my Druski and Kai Canet under. Someday I’ll be playing in the Celebrity All Star Game but until then here’s some props that will hit (hopefully).

UNDERDOG BIG 3:

Shams Charania o3.5 points

This prop is going to go one of two ways. Option #1- Giannis (head coach) will bench him and barely play him. Having it be a joke or punishment for Shams being the ringleader of the Giannis leaving rumors.

Option #2- Giannis will trade him during halftime or second quarter. If he doesn't trade/bench him then he will play every single minute. Shams is gonna have to show he can hoop but regardless four points isn’t much. Especially considering the league established the “Crunch time” aspect of the game. If you’re unfamiliar with Crunch time it’s a short period in the game where points count as double. They’ve also added the four point line.

Jason Williams u8.5 points

Usually when former NBA players participate in the celebrity game they’re not out there to score. Williams has played in many celebrity games and is there to show he can still make some flashy passes and cash a check. NBA players usually get the least amount of minutes too due to the focus being more on the celebrities.

Norman Powell better than a 5.5 R1 finishing position

I mistakenly had Powell winning the contest last year but he ended up wetting the bed. However there’s only 8 participants in this contest and I don’t expect Powell to finish bottom two. With experience in the contest I don’t think he’ll win but to think he’s going to be bottom two is absurd especially when four of the contestants have never been in this event before and then having Damian Lillard playing with a torn achilles.

KALSHI ALL STAR PROPS:

Jaylen Brown wins All Star MVP (+1150)

The year of Jaylen Brown. He’s finally showing he can do it without Tatum and what better way to show that than to win All Star MVP. Brown is a five time All Star but has yet to win MVP and this is also his first year as a starter. He’s on the “OG” team who has players such as Kawhi, LeBron, & Kevin Durant. Which is an advantage for us due to the fact that either they’ll play very minimal minutes or won’t even play. Brown has participated in other events before such as the dunk contest giving it his all, rare being one of the only superstars to give effort during this weekend.

Bobby Portis wins the 3pt contest (+1900)

As a Milwaukee Bucks fan I personally cannot stand Bobby Portis nor can I believe what I'm about to say but this contest is perfect for him. All he does is catch & shoot although he has the worst odds to win it he’s the only participant who’s Top 10 in 3pt%. Bobby has emphasized how competing in this contest is a dream come true for him and wants to win it for the big men. Enough Bobby talk let’s look at the field, Kon Knueppel is somehow the favorite going in even though a rookie has never won the event before. Damian Lillard is participating even though he’s recovering from a torn achilles which gives him a disadvantage. Tyrese Maxey is a good 3 point shooter but excels from 40ft and step backs this contest isn’t for him. Donovan Mitchell, Tyrese Maxey, and Jamal Murray have all been on mini slumps lately shooting below 30% from three this month. Norman Powell is coming off injury so I can see him playing decently but not good enough to advance. With that being said I’m riding with the hot hand here, Milwaukee has been rolling and what better way to go into the last stretch of the regular season with 3 point champion Bobby Portis.

Cam Wilder wins 3pt celebrity contest (+1150) 🔒

If Cam Wilder walked past me on the street I wouldn’t even know who he is, nevertheless a huge sleeper in this one. Something is very off about this contest but we’ll begin talking about the future winner. Cam Wilder is not only an Internet personality but a former college basketball athlete. Yes his stats are trash but he has experience and also competed in a creator 3pt contest in last year's All Star Weekend. Cam currently makes videos of him hooping and he’s pretty good, also participating in other creator events during All Star Weekend he might take this event the most serious out of all participants. Now let’s start off with the three people we know who have zero chance, Druski, Caleb Williams, and Nigel Sylvester. Druski is there for comedic purposes, Nigel is only there to promote his new collab with Jordan, & Caleb Williams is there just as an NFL athlete and has said on his Instagram "he's not a hooper”. So that leaves us with Richard Jefferson, Jared McCain, & PlaqueBoyMax. The heavy favorites are the former NBA players however we’ve seen NBA players lose to celebrities before during all star weekend (Draymond Green lost to Kevin Hart). Richard Jefferson couldn't care less about the event, he’s emphasized on broadcast many times how All Star Weekend is about just fun for him and cares about the fans, not about winning. Even in the celebrity all star game he never went hard so I don’t expect him to shoot the lights out. Jared McCain is -734 to win it but why would he be in a celebrity 3pt contest as a player? Maybe he has to shoot from a farther distance or even shoot left-handed. I don’t know but the fact that he’s even in this doesn't sit right with me, and the whole concept itself makes no sense if he wins it. PlaqueBoyMax is one of the most popular creators here but I think he cracks under the bright lights. He’s had streams before of him shooting with Jaylen Brown or playing pickup basketball and isn’t bad but not good enough to win this contest.

Unrivaled Prop:

Aliyah Boston beats Breanna Stewart

Stewie being the favorite in this matchup is ludicrous. Not only because she was bounced first one last year in a shutout but she’s clearly washed. She barely beat Li Yueru who’s a scrub, respectfully Stewie isn’t a good 1v1 player and that’s okay. Aliyah Boston has one of the best footwork in the league and has a small size advantage so I expect her to honestly dominate.
